Please note that Agony is an "old school" game; it is non-linear, features a semi-open world, and offers multiple paths, endings, and secrets to discover. Playing Agony provides a different experience compared to modern, linear horror games. In Story Mode, you begin as a tormented soul in the depths of Hell without any memories of your past. The special ability to control people and possess simple-minded demons gives you the necessary tools to survive the extreme conditions. By exploring the hostile environment and interacting with other weary souls, you will realize that the only way to escape Hell is to meet the mystical Red Goddess. The game also features Agony Mode, an open challenge system that randomly generates levels for players to explore and survive to achieve new high scores. Agony throws you into the middle of Hell, where you must stay alive and solve the mystery of the Red Goddess, the architect of this place of sorrow and pain, and the only entity who knows how to escape. Haunted by nightmare creatures, you will use your ability to possess demons and other souls to find a way out.
