The mystery is driven by the player, with interwoven narratives formed through exploration, dialogue, investigation, and combat where choices have consequences. You must search, scavenge, and survive by gathering supplies, crafting weapons, and fighting desperately to live. Combat is frantic and intense with scarce ammunition, requiring a mix of marksmanship and hand-to-hand fighting. You must manage your heart rate to aim steadily and save energy for melee strikes with a cricket bat. The picturesque British countryside of rolling hills and villages hides dangers, requiring you to navigate cult-controlled ruins, natural caves, and nuclear bunkers.
