Developed by WB Games Montréal, the game offers an expanded Gotham City and an original prequel story set years before Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Set before the rise of Gotham's most lethal criminals, the story highlights a young and unrefined Batman facing a defining moment in his early career that paves his way to becoming the Dark Knight. Key Features: The Arkham Story Begins: Batman: Arkham Origins features a critical narrative set on Christmas Eve where Batman is pursued by eight of the deadliest assassins from the DC Comics Universe. Players step into the role of an early-career Batman, encountering characters who will shape his future for the first time. Enhanced Detective Mode: Think like Batman with a brand-new Case File system that allows for real-time analysis of difficult crime reconstructions. By combining Batman's cowl sensors with the Batcomputer, players can digitally recreate crimes and study detailed simulations. Gotham City will learn to fear Batman: Reclaim the sprawling streets of Gotham years before it transforms into Arkham City. Gotham’s Most Wanted: The city streets host more than just Black Mask’s assassins. Locate and neutralize Gotham's most violent and dangerous criminals to earn unique upgrades. Lethal New Enemies: Battle new adversaries such as the Armored Enforcer and the Martial Artist, each challenging players to adapt their approach to Batman's FreeFlow Combat. Classic FreeFlow combat is expanded with every new opponent and Batman's evolving abilities. New Gadgets: Utilize Batman's signature gadgets or wield powerful new additions like the Remote Claw and Concussion Detonator. Use the Remote Claw to create new routes via tightropes or attack enemies by stringing them up from vantage points. Deploy the Concussion Detonator to stun and disorient groups of opponents in close combat.
