About This Game
This authentic sequel to the classic 1988 Nintendo Entertainment System title reintroduces the bionically-augmented Nathan "R.A.D." Spencer. Five years after his triumph against the Imperials, Spencer's life took a dark turn - betrayed by his government, falsely accused, imprisoned, and sentenced to death.
On Spencer's scheduled execution day, terrorists detonate a catastrophic experimental weapon in Ascension City, causing a devastating earthquake that demolishes the city and eliminates its inhabitants. With the city in ruins and terrorists controlling its defense systems, the FSA's only remaining option is a covert assault.
This mission perfectly suits a Bionic Commando.
Bionic Commando adapts the beloved swing-and-shoot mechanics of the original 8-bit game into an impressive 3D world featuring skyscrapers, suspended roadways, monorails, deep canyons, and cliff faces that players navigate using swinging, scaling, climbing, and wall-walking techniques.
Owners of both Bionic Commando and Bionic Commando Rearmed unlock special content including the "Retro" Nathan "R.A.D." Spencer skin, a Prototype Weapon, and a hidden room in the Fissure level.
