About This Game

This revamped edition of the multi-award-winning game arrives in 3D, featuring upgraded AI, three-dimensional landscapes, and brand-new exclusive features. Reviewers hail Carcassonne as the perfect introductory game for groups and a fantastic experience with its engaging mechanics.

Carcassonne is a strategic tile-placement game where the goal is to construct landscapes, claim territory, and accumulate points. Players draw and lay down tiles showing parts of southern French scenery—cities, roads, cloisters, or fields—connecting them to the played board so that matching features meet. You then have the option to place one of your followers, called Meeples, onto an area of the tile: a knight in a city, a robber on a road, a monk in a cloister, or a farmer in the grass. Once that area is completed, the meeple earns points for its owner. The dynamic board ensures every game feels unique.

Enjoy tactical gameplay where you must make decisions, such as whether to place your final meeple or use a tile to expand your own city versus blocking an opponent. Despite the many strategic possibilities, turns are quick since you only place one tile and potentially one meeple.
