About This Game
Re-enter the haunted mansion... Citadale - The Legends Trilogy unites the initial three 8-bit releases into a single gory package containing Chapter 1: Gate of Souls, where Sonja Dorleac heads to Citadale castle to discover her missing spouse; Chapter 2: Curse of Darkness, where Gabriel, Sonja’s Son, assumes the role of the Demon Slayer; and Chapter 3: Legacy of Fate, where you challenge the Dark Lord as Christopher, the grandson and heir to the Shadow Blade. Battle darkness over three generations, each with unique narratives, heroes, stages, and songs. A Dark Lord afflicts the land... and only YOU can defeat him. Control Sonja Dorleac and end the dark forces by using the fabled Shadow Blade. Slay night monsters with swords, axes, shurikens, and other weapons, and clash with dreadful bosses. If you demonstrate your power, you can access alternative endings for the first two games. A boss rush mode for the original game is also unlockable if you secure the "good" ending in the first game! Features include devouring 8-bit style graphics combined with grand chiptune tracks, stage-based linear advancement, testing your abilities against intense difficulty, investing time hunting for secrets and unlocking different endings, and enjoying a mix of platformer, action, and adventure gameplay. Not a Metroidvania. Controller Information: Due to engine restrictions, some controllers, like 8bitdo gamepads, may not work as intended. Regrettably, nothing can be done about this. If your gamepad causes trouble, consider trying another one or utilizing the keyboard. Sorry for the inconvenience.
