About This Game

PLEASE NOTE: This title is a direct follow-up to the original Corpse Party and contains substantial spoilers. Proceed with caution if you have not completed the first game. Developed by MAGES. (formerly 5pb. Games) under the supervision of Team GrisGris, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows is a horror-adventure anthology that serves as a prequel, sequel, midquel, and alternate universe tale. It expands upon the events of the first game, allowing players to revisit or reinterpret past incidents and character perspectives to achieve new outcomes. This definitive PC version upgrades the original PSP visuals to HD and incorporates full mouse support for authentic point-and-click gameplay. The story delves into the untold experiences of students from Kisaragi Academy, Byakudan Senior High, and other schools within the cursed Heavenly Host Elementary. It explores alternate timelines and backstory questions regarding characters like Naho, Tohko, and Ms. Yui, while also examining the psychological impact on survivors and the mystery of the Book of Shadows. Key features include immersive first-person point-and-click exploration, original Japanese voiceovers with binaural 3D audio, a "Darkening" system that affects character sanity and leads to gruesome "Wrong Ends," expanded development of side characters, and a variety of unlockables including achievements and bonus content for save-data imports.
