About This Game
Whether you are an artistic master or just enjoy making a mess, refuse to accept a dull world and join de Blob and his friends as they start a color revolution. As a rebellious and unlikely hero, de Blob flips, bounces, and smashes his way through the all-powerful I.N.K.T. Corporation to ignite an uprising and save Chroma City from a future devoid of color. Battle against massive tank battalions, fast I.N.K.T. racers, and elite Inky soldiers in your quest to liberate the citizens. Dodge hazards like hot plates, electric shocks, and ink turrets to forge your own path to the heavily guarded I.N.K.T. Fortress. Remember that the fight for Chroma City must be fought on your terms. Remix the city using custom paints, patterns, and soundtracks. Grow your blob to defeat larger and stronger enemies. Join the Color Revolutionaries to sharpen your skills while creating chaos. The battle to rescue Chroma City has started, and only de Blob can save the world from a black-and-white fate. de Blob is a 3D platformer where players control their hero, de Blob. Part amorphous paint blob, part struggling artist, and part revolutionary, de Blob's goal is to replace the drab, lifeless gray that the I.N.K.T. Corporation has forced upon Chroma City and its inhabitants, the Raydians, with vibrant, life-giving colors, while avoiding and fighting the gray-clad Inkies. Players must collect paint and fling de Blob at buildings, walls, statues, roads, and the sky. As de Blob bounces around, adding color, his paint supply depletes and he dries out, requiring players to collect more paint and rehydrate at pools and hydrants. Initially, only red, blue, and yellow are available, but these can be mixed to create other colors. Creating and applying these colors is vital as Chroma City comes to life and de Blob meets the 'Color Revolutionaries,' receiving missions to splash color across town. Succeeding in these missions earns points, driving the game toward an assault on Comrade Black's fortress, guarded by elite soldiers and massive ink turrets. Key Features include: Flip, bounce, and smash past the I.N.K.T. Corporation to launch a revolution; join the Color Revolutionaries against Comrade Black and his traps; free friends by painting the city and dodging ink cannons; compete in 4-player split-screen multiplayer modes; and paint skyscrapers and landmarks with custom styles. The game features a deep single-player story and diverse multiplayer options for up to four players on various maps. Multiplayer modes include Paint Match, where you paint buildings and steal points; Blob on the Run, a 'Capture the Flag' variant where one painter is chased; and Blob Race, a timed race to paint specific buildings before opponents do. The Steam Edition includes improved texture and lightmap resolution, upscaled videos, FXAA Anti-Aliasing, resolution and graphic quality options, keyboard/mouse and gamepad support with remapping, and unofficial Wiimote support.
