Dead Space (2008)

A massive deep-space mining vessel goes silent after unearthing a strange artifact on a remote planet. Engineer Isaac Clarke embarks on a repair mission, only to discover a nightmarish blood bath where the crew has been horribly slaughtered and infected by an alien scourge. Now Isaac is cut off, trapped, and engaged in a desperate fight for survival. Gameplay features include strategically dismembering Necromorph enemies limb by limb, zero gravity combat where terror can strike from any angle, and uncovering the horrific truth of this shocking thriller. The Necromorphs are unique enemies that ignore headshots, forcing you to dismember their insect-like limbs one by one. You must use improvised weapons from Isaac's toolkit, such as the Plasma Cutter, Disc Ripper, and Line Gun, and purchase upgrades to improve them. The game runs in real-time, meaning reloading or checking your inventory leaves you vulnerable to Necromorph attacks.
