You awaken as Bennet Helms in a strange location, spotting your family despite having almost no memory. Sensing something is deeply wrong, you must choose between fleeing or reuniting with your family while surviving, searching for clues, and exposing the mysterious secrets of the Visual Corporation. The game features a Sanity system where a brain tumor on the cerebral cortex affects communication and reality, requiring constant pills to manage. Sanity levels control the experience, causing hallucinations, spawning critters at 45%, slowing movement at 25%, disabling sprinting at 15%, turning visuals black and white at 10%, and triggering a "C-Condition" at 5% that grants speed and pain immunity but allows self-harm to restore sanity. The WCD system acts as the world's brain, altering reality, spawning monsters, and manipulating the environment based on your health and sanity. Radiation serves as a double-edged sword by slowing sanity decay while damaging health, with higher levels causing blurred vision and slower reflexes. Future updates plan to deepen the WCD impact, add new status effects, improve AI, implement physics, and polish the visuals.
