About This Game

Dinocide is a single-player platformer inspired by classic NES titles, set in a prehistoric fantasy world. The game aims to recreate the thrill and enjoyment of that era with a modern touch. The protagonist is on a quest to save his kidnapped love interest from an evil, mysterious Dinosaur God. You are accompanied by friendly, tame dinosaurs that serve as mounts, allies, and friends. Their help enables you to swim, fly, run faster, jump higher, and perform feats beyond the reach of an ordinary primitive human. Together, you will traverse lands inhabited by ancient creatures and untold dangers to reach your objective. Dinosaur mounts enhance your speed and strength while offering various tactical abilities. Progression is non-linear, allowing for different routes to complete your adventure. A wide variety of biomes are available to visit, such as forests, deserts, ice plains, lava caves, oceans, and jungles. You will encounter weird creatures never seen before. The game features a unique time/life mechanic where one bar serves as both the food meter and character health. It includes full controller and Steam Big Picture support. The gameplay focuses on classic action—react, kill, jump, eat, and ride like the good old days without watching a movie. Several game modes are included: Story Campaign, Boss Rush, and Speedrun. It delivers the unmatched drive and fun of an 8-bit era game.
