Dreadful

Developed by Green Eye Games, Dreadful is a survival horror game currently in production that utilizes a modified gameplay style and third-person perspective.

Storyline

A former sergeant named Smith murdered his wife Mary and their two children, Chris and Rebecca, before turning the shotgun on himself. Investigators have never determined the motive, and police reports indicate neighbors heard loud noises from the home at midnight, though officers found the house empty upon arrival.

You assume the role of David Hill, a 35-year-old journalist tasked with uncovering the truth behind the tragedy and the mysterious sounds emanating from the property.

• Game mechanics

Managing your breath serves as your primary defense. While there are various ways to protect yourself in Dreadful, controlling your breath and fear is crucial while inside the house.

An AI system has been implemented where the entity known as "Mary" can smell and detect your fear, requiring you to constantly monitor your heartbeat speed.
