About This Game

Inserted only moments before the explosion set off by the first F.E.A.R. unit, you become Special Forces Sgt. Michael Becket. A standard task rapidly devolves into a battle for survival pitted against Alma Wade's fury. As her power spirals uncontrollably, your squad combats through a post-apocalyptic terrain seeking the answer to eliminating her! Strategic environmental warfare options exist for both sides, and you can slow time using superior reflexes. Engage in intense close-range fighting across diverse settings and face new adversaries utilizing sophisticated combat strategies. You will test your courage against a scary mystery involving new characters while using world interaction improvements for instant cover or obstacle removal. The game features multiplayer modes with friends, an upgraded graphics engine that heightens the horror experience, and enemies that act with realism and exploit the environment via superior AI. The story remains true to the Alma saga, marking the definitive continuation. Additionally, the Toy Soldier Update (April 16, 2009) offers a shrunken perspective in multiplayer, allowing battles inside a pinball machine (FullTilt), a hospital lab (Cockroach), and a sandbox playground (Recess).
