About This Game
CONFRONT THE CHAOS. OR WIELD ITS POWER. Attracted to a remote planet, sentient lifeforms battle for command over its resources. Here, every entity faces a fundamental decision: extinction or evolution? Grey Goo is a real-time strategy (RTS) title that blends classic strategic gameplay with a balanced combat system, emphasizing the construction of bases. It places you in the midst of a tactical fight for survival—and ultimately, supremacy over Ecosystem 9. Experience the single-player campaign leading three factions: the Humans, experts in defensive structures; the Beta, a proud, adaptable alien species; and the Goo, a mysterious, highly mobile organism. Alternatively, compete with any of the four multiplayer factions, including the chaotic and unpredictable Shroud. Key Features include battling as or against the new Shroud faction; commanding new units like the Humans’ Valiant, the Beta’s Squall, and the Goo’s Siphon; exploring an extra storyline in “Grey Goo: Emergence” to uncover the Goo's true motives; facing the Shroud in Mission 16, “Herald of Silence”; honing tactics in the campaign or on Steam; using skill-based matchmaking; altering battlefield dynamics with tech upgrades; ending games with Epic units; playing via LAN; utilizing Replay and Observer modes; and creating custom maps with the Map Editor for Steam Workshop.
