Hearts of Chaos

A birthday signifies a shift, even when unanticipated. We age a year, hopefully becoming wiser and more compassionate than the previous day. Such occasions can transform your life and the world around you. Just take mine as an example. When my friends gathered to celebrate, I was unaware of how the events would unfold. I could not foresee that a day starting with festivities would conclude with a mission to thwart a sinister, unknown legend from annihilating everything I hold dear. I never expected to confront not only my own destiny but every possible future for us all. Now, alongside my companions, I am navigating desolate ruins, flying through the heavens on forgotten vessels, and confronting nightmarish creatures in a desperate fight to stop the world from ending. Suddenly, the idea of growing older seems far less frightening.
