About This Game
The Lost Planet series' signature harsh and volatile weather returns, more intense than ever. This installment sheds light on new realities about the daunting planet and the colonization background of E.D.N. III.
Players are introduced to Jim Peyton, a rig operator who departs from Earth to accept a dangerous yet profitable job on E.D.N. III. Employed by Neo-Venus Construction (NEVEC), a company preparing the world for settlers, Jim teams up with other explorers at Coronis base to start mapping unknown lands and gathering samples of the planet's power source – Thermal Energy.
As NEVEC's Thermal Energy stocks dwindle, the success of the Coronis mission relies on finding the natural source of this power. Seeing this as a massive financial opportunity and a way to get back to his family sooner, Jim risks the perilous surroundings and the danger posed by the native Akrid species.
Serving as a mobile base and equipped with various tools to help Jim in the field, the utility rig ensures his safety and is crucial not just for his job tasks but also for defending himself against the fluctuating weather conditions.
Offering a wide variety of gameplay mechanics such as infantry combat and intense first-person action, Lost Planet 3 features several multiplayer modes alongside a gripping single-player campaign. The game explores the Lost Planet lore further, exposing concealed secrets amidst the distinct and shifting landscape of E.D.N. III.
