M.A.X.: Mechanized Assault & Exploration

Your objective is to settle new worlds on far-off planets. As the Mission Commander in charge of the Mechanized Assault & Exploration (M.A.X.) force, you lead the vanguard. You are responsible for planning and building mining stations, power plants, tactical vehicle factories, and habitats. You build the entire new colony and control the resources found there. Since you are not the only Mission Commander attempting to colonize these planets, you must destroy your enemies to survive. You must push your limits to survive the ultimate strategic warfare showdown, involving espionage, heavy artillery, offensives, counter-offensives, and intelligence. Fundamentally, M.A.X. focuses on resource gathering, construction, and tactical combat. The title features over 50 land, sea, and air units, with most allowing upgrades to armor, speed, and range. You can choose one of eight distinct factions, each offering unique advantages. The game offers a complexity level rarely seen in contemporary strategy titles, allowing you to select either simultaneous or turn-based modes to suit your style.
