About This Game
Your presence has been detected…
Your vessel is exposed…
Warning alarms sound…
"Torpedo approaching!"
Objects in Space presents an open-world 2D stealth-action space trading experience set in Apollo—a vast collection of star systems located dozens of lightyears from Earth. As a starship captain, you'll trade goods to keep your aging vessel operational while staying ahead of pirates, criminal organizations, corrupt governments, and questionable regulations.
A universe of diverse characters awaits in Objects in Space. The game emphasizes numerous short stories rather than a single hero's journey, allowing you to determine how much or how little narrative content you prefer in your gameplay experience.
Combat in Objects treats spacecraft more like Cold War submarines than World War II dogfighters. You'll operate silently, strategize maneuvers well in advance, and engage in deadly games of cat-and-mouse with elusive enemies—for those players who seek such challenges. Combat-averse players can monitor news to avoid pirate-infested systems and choose not to explore dangerous uncharted regions where pirates congregate.
You'll need to maintain your ship's systems with minimal noise output, potentially going completely 'dark'—drifting along your current trajectory and velocity while attempting to evade detection on enemy scanners as you navigate through some of space's most perilous trade routes.
To earn credits, over fifty employers are available, with your reputation affecting the number of passenger, cargo, or bounty-hunting contracts offered to you. Be warned—failing to complete a contract may cause your reputation to plummet with that employer. When you receive an SOS signal from a nearby ship but have a deadline to meet, what choice will you make?
Your spacecraft can be fully customized down to the smallest component of each module. If your battery fails, the responsibility lies with you—you chose that budget Ventarii battery initially, and despite your mechanic's recommendation for a Xiao Sa model, you insisted on purchasing the Connext Hap Node instead. An unfortunate oversight.
You can play safely in the central systems or design your vessel to outrun, outfight, or out-hide opponents while building your fortune in the outer rims. Exercise caution! In deep space, you're just as likely to become prey as predator…
