About This Game
Orbital Racer offers a single-player racing experience situated in the vacuum of space, blending the six-degrees-of-freedom movement found in space sims with the excitement of racing. The title presents two primary gameplay modes. ACTION focuses on swift, gratifying play; simply hop in the cockpit and utilize your velocity and armaments, such as mines and missiles, to overtake rivals. SIMULATION prioritizes realism, with vessels adhering to Newtonian physics and believable thruster power. This approach increases the difficulty of piloting but provides a distinct reward as you frequently drift sideways at the edge of control. Additional key highlights include fully customizable controls, eight unique settings derived from actual locations within our Solar System, twenty-four distinct courses, a comprehensive flight school for the Simulation mode, three base ship types each offering three variants, a flexible yet challenging AI, adjustable race settings, and an immersive career campaign.
