About This Game

In the turmoil of the 17th century, the Caribbean serves as the battlefield for Spain, England, France, and the Netherlands. As a budding sea captain, your primary objective is to rise to supreme power in the New World. To accomplish this, you must select between two distinct paths: the Adventurer or the Trader. Choosing the Adventurer path involves leading a ruthless campaign to dominate the oceans through invasions, piracy, bounty hunting, and raids, with commerce playing a secondary role in your ascent. Conversely, the Trader route focuses on amassing wealth and economic influence by establishing trade routes, constructing industries, and bolstering the colonial economy. Alternatively, Free Play mode allows you to blend elements of both styles as you see fit, crafting a unique and thrilling narrative. For the first time in the celebrated Port Royale franchise, you do not sail these tranquil yet deceptive waters alone. Multiplayer mode supports up to four players via LAN or Internet, enabling you to build a trading empire, command fleets in stunning 3D naval combat, and subdue your rivals. The game features two distinct solo campaigns: Adventurer and Trader. Adventurers engage in naval warfare and raids, while Traders focus on economic growth and supply lines. You can command 16 vessel varieties, ranging from mighty Galleons to nimble Frigates, and manage trade across 60 cities like Port-au-Prince and Tortuga. A competitive Multiplayer mode for four players is available, alongside a sophisticated trade system where prices fluctuate based on real-world supply and demand dynamics.
