About This Game
Taking place during the political maneuvering of a nascent Roman Empire, Praetorians transports you to the arid fields of Egypt, the combat zones of Gaul, and ultimately to Italy itself to vie for the imperial throne. The journey is arduous, as the Empire is safeguarded by myriad troop types and war engines, each boasting unique talents and strengths. Claiming the emperorship requires strategic prowess; you must master unit combinations and uncover enemy weaknesses. As you approach the final goal, the stakes rise when you encounter the Emperor's elite unit, the most lethal force in the land—the Praetorian Guard! Highlights include command over three distinct factions: the Roman Legions, Egyptians, and Gauls; special abilities and formations for various units; and rapid, unpredictable combat.
