Combining intense action with survival horror, Resident Evil 6 pledges to provide the dramatic horror encounter of 2013. Beloved characters Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Ada Wong return alongside newcomers such as Jake Muller to confront a terrifying new menace: the highly contagious C-virus. The story unfolds across North America, the war-ravaged Eastern European region of Edonia, and the Chinese city of Lanshiang.

Featuring four separate yet interlaced story arcs, each with its own duo of main characters for solo or cooperative play offline or online, Resident Evil 6 offers diverse perspectives and gameplay styles. With the new Crossover mechanic, players can unite to share the fear. During pivotal moments, up to four players can join online to address specific scenarios, with some stages switching partnerships to deepen gameplay.

• Crossover Gameplay - Stories intersect, and so does the action. At crucial points when narrative pairs meet, the new Crossover mechanic lets up to four players share the horror online.
  
• Single or co-op modes – Play solo or with a partner in two-player co-op, offline or online (Ada Wong’s campaign is single-player only).
  
• Rising new threats – Face the C-virus in its various deadly forms, including zombies, J’avo, Chrysalids, and more. Agent Hunt Mode - A new online mode where you play as the enemy. As a ‘hunter’, become a zombie, J’avo, or other mutation and infiltrate another game session to eliminate human characters.
  
• Your style of play – Spend skill points on your character using the Character Skill system to enhance reload speed, boost firepower, or expand your health bar.
  
• Evolved control scheme – An updated control system allows shooting while moving, sliding, rolling in any direction, taking cover, and performing enhanced melee attacks.
  
• Mercenaries returns – The highly popular Mercenaries Mode makes a comeback.
  
• The Mercenaries No Mercy - PC-exclusive mode with double the enemy count of The Mercenaries!
  
• 7 Extra Stages for Bonus Modes - These 7 stages, previously paid DLC on consoles, are standard on PC. (*Unlocked via achievements.)
  
• Left 4 Dead 2 Crossover Patch - Free release via the April 5, 2013 Title Update. Play The Mercenaries No Mercy as Left 4 Dead 2 characters, with the Infected as enemies.
