The narrative of Resident Evil Revelations 2 opens with the dramatic return of Claire Redfield, a survivor of the Raccoon City incident who now serves with the anti-bioterrorism group Terra Save. During Moira Burton's welcome party, the office is stormed by armed forces, and the two women are knocked unconscious. Awakening in a dark, abandoned detention facility, they must work together to uncover who abducted them and why. Meanwhile, Barry Burton heads to a remote prison island in search of his missing daughter. There, he encounters Natalia Korda, a young girl with the unique ability to sense enemies and hidden items. Players must alternate between Barry's combat skills and Natalia's powers to survive the island's horrors. The game initially launched as a series of weekly episodic downloads starting February 24, 2015, with options for a digital Complete Season or retail disc. Each episode features two playable scenarios focusing on Claire/Moira and Barry/Natalia, along with Raid mode content.
