About This Game

Rising Lords is a medieval turn-based strategy game blending card and board game elements. You can command your serfs to die for your cause or let them thrive to benefit your rule. Collect taxes and resources while dictating rations and field work. Forge weapons, recruit armies, and construct heavily fortified cities. Promote your subjects to knighthood or sacrifice them on the battlefield, but remember that even humble peasants will revolt eventually, and a sudden event card can drastically alter your realm's fate. Be prepared to expand your territory or defend your provinces, as relationships with other lords are unstable and war is inevitable. Raise a versatile army, utilize a card-based skill system, and fight enemies in tactical, grid-based turn-based combat where troop counters, morale, and terrain are key. The game features an engaging story campaign following protagonist Tankred with three unique endings. Beyond the campaign, prove yourself in special modes like Challenge Island and Invasion using unique figures. Customize your leader's appearance and skills, tailor your cities and troops, and enjoy up to four-player simultaneous multiplayer. Finally, create your own maps and story missions via Steam Workshop.
