During the autumn of 2008, Victoria travels to Maine after the body of Ellen Dunnigan is discovered. The killer's methods and a footage sent to authorities confirm that the East Coast Torturer has returned. Despite the autopsy, no evidence is found because the murderer meticulously cleaned the victim, making another perfect crime. While in her motel, Victoria reads a report by Paloma Hernandez, a journalist who has been reporting on the East Coast Torturer's murders and criticizing the FBI's efforts. Hernandez calls Victoria, requesting a meeting and claiming to possess evidence about the killer. Victoria declines, but shortly after, Paloma is abducted by the Torturer. Staying faithful to the original's style, Still Life 2 introduces the ability to manage two protagonists sharing a connected destiny. You will control two distinct characters, offering dual perspectives and gameplay styles. Players will alternate between survival mechanics as Paloma Hernandez, the victim fleeing the murderer, and investigative tactics as Victoria McPherson, the agent pursuing him.
