About This Game
Admiral, the conflict in the Pacific is beginning! This title features a vast Pacific map consisting of tens of thousands of hexes, scenarios based on locations like Iwo Jima, Okinawa, and Guadalcanal, plus an alternate history scenario where Japan invades Australia. It includes hundreds of units, detailed Orders of Battle, and the Attack on Pearl Harbor. Storm over the Pacific covers the period from 1937 to 1945, illustrating the warfare between the Japanese Empire, the United States, and other Allied powers in WWII. Select from approximately 30 nations, each with accurate military structures. You may choose to command a single country or manage several to lead an entire alliance or fight against yourself. This flexibility offers hundreds of hours of engaging gameplay. You can decide whether to adhere to historical events or forge your own destiny. It is your choice how to deploy your divisions, aircraft, and vessels, handle technological advancement, utilize the nuclear weapon, and react to random or historical events. You can be aggressive or cautious, considering the geopolitical landscape, economy, terrain, and weather. You will feel like a true leader during the Pacific War. While the high-difficulty AI challenges veterans, defeating another human player or teaming up against the AI in Hot Seat or PBEM modes provides the ultimate satisfaction. The interface is highly configurable, allowing you to arrange information and management tools freely. This design makes the interface intuitive. You can command all forces from the main map, keeping everything accessible to save time and focus on strategy. The game includes four major campaigns (Pacific 1941, Australia 1942, China 1937 and 1941) along with smaller scenarios ranging from 1939 to 1948. You can play as any of 30 countries or a combination of them. There are 16 unit types for combined land, air, and naval warfare. The map beautifully renders the Pacific theater, covering China, Burma, India, the US West Coast, Australia, the Philippines, Malaya, Indonesia, Siberia, the Pacific Ocean, and parts of the Indian Ocean. Additional features include ten smaller scenarios alongside the massive campaigns, hundreds of historical events, a balanced naval system, and fully historical Orders of Battle with unit names and commanders. Major countries have customized graphics. You must master the economy to maximize resources, maintain alliances, and race to develop the Atomic bomb. The game features an intuitive logistics system where units depend on supply, an accurate weather system including rain and snow, and customizable Fog of War options for different difficulty and realism levels.
