About This Game

Sym is a puzzle-platformer title delving into the complexities of social anxiety. Assume the role of Josh, an adolescent boy attempting to harmonize a labyrinth of two divergent realms coexisting in the negative space of each other—his perception of the real world and a fabricated realm designed to elude his terrors.

Within these worlds, Josh manifests as distinct alter egos: Caleb and Ammiel. Caleb inhabits the white world, existing on the edge of reality with a desire to conquer his anxieties. Conversely, Ammiel dwells in the shadows, seeking total solitude and isolation from any human interaction.

Command these identities and alternate between the two domains to resolve puzzles and navigate through barriers. Master the use of these separate environments to dodge hazards and discover a route to security.

  • Navigate through 44 demanding stages filled with logic conundrums, platforming action, and mazes.
  • Transition between realms of light and shadow to bypass hurdles and progress.
  • Design and distribute custom stages effortlessly using the built-in editor.
  • The Shared World feature enables gamers to link gateways in their own designs to maps created by the community.
