The Descendant

THE DESCENDANT is a five-part episodic adventure series where the end of the world marks the beginning of a new story. Following a catastrophic climate shift and a man-made extinction event, the human race was all but erased. Only a select few thousand descendants were chosen to weather the storm in cryogenic suspension within underground bunkers known as Arks. Centuries have passed since the nuclear holocaust, and the world has begun to heal. All Arks have reopened, with the sole exception of Ark-01. The story spans two timelines. In the past, you play as Mia, a janitor fighting to keep the fragile descendants alive as the infrastructure of Ark-01 collapses around her. In the present, you assume the role of Donnie, an investigator attempting a rescue mission to free any survivors left behind, while stumbling upon a profound conspiracy buried within the Ark complex. Every choice and action you take determines who lives and who dies, placing the destiny of Ark-01 and humanity itself in your hands. Key features include an episodic adventure across multiple timelines, investigative gameplay and challenging puzzles, tense action sequences, difficult choices with branching dialogue, and a narrative experience where player decisions influence the future of mankind.
