About This Game

A deep space saga created by Sean Clark with input from filmmaker Steven Spielberg. A massive asteroid, similar in size to a small moon, is speeding towards Earth, and only NASA veteran Boston Low has the skills to intercept it. Joining him are celebrated journalist Maggie Robbins and famous geologist Ludger Brink. Once the asteroid is blasted into a secure orbit, the three begin a standard examination of the rock's surface. They discover something entirely unexpected. Low, Brink, and Robbins unintentionally activate a mechanism that converts the asteroid into a vessel resembling crystal. The team is shot across the galaxy to a planet so bleak that Brink christens it Cocytus, named after the ninth circle of Hell in Dante's Inferno. The gloomy environment was clearly once the site of an advanced civilization, featuring ruins of complex buildings, cutting-edge technology, and a vast system of underground tunnels. However, there are no Cocytans to be found. Who were the original dwellers of this empire that has become a wasteland? What are the ghostly figures that appear at random moments? Why have Low, Robbins, and Brink been brought to this location? And how can Low prevent his team from falling apart amidst the mystery? To get back to Earth, they must search for answers, both on the alien terrain and within their own psyches. From the combined genius of LucasArts and the iconic Steven Spielberg comes a massive adventure that dives straight into the unknown, taking you along for the journey. The game includes nearly 200 different areas and a multitude of puzzles, Robert Patrick from Terminator 2 providing the voice for Boston Low, special effects created by Industrial Light & Magic, writing by acclaimed sci-fi novelist Orson Scott Card, and a majestic Wagnerian musical score that sets a grand mood.
