The Escapists: The Walking Dead

The Survival Mode update introduces a fresh gameplay mode where you battle herds of walkers, grunts, and legends across three distinct levels within The Walking Dead universe. You can control characters like Tyreese, Abraham, and Michonne on survival maps located in Meriwether, Alexandria, and Woodbury, receiving support from survivors such as Rick, Carl, and Glenn. This update also brings new weaponry including a mini gun, sniper rifle, and revolver, along with 5 new achievements and leaderboards. Skybound Insider members get exclusive free content allowing them to play as walker versions of Abraham, Michonne, and Tyreese, plus unlock the Stun Gun. The core game combines the award-winning indie hit The Escapists with the international phenomenon The Walking Dead, presented in an 8-bit pixel art style. You assume the role of Rick Grimes, fighting off hordes of walkers while leading a group of survivors including Maggie, Hershel, Glenn, and Michonne. To ensure the group's safety, Rick must secure escape routes and manage hazardous tasks, following the comic book timeline from Harrison Memorial Hospital to the Greene family farm, Meriwether Correctional Facility, and Woodbury. Key features include 5 iconic locations from the story, epic crafting with over 200 items to create 70 tools or weapons, and interactions with beloved comic characters. You must maintain daily routines for morale, craft or discover firearms to fend off hungry walkers, and compete for Steam Achievements and Leaderboards. The game supports Cloud Saves, and the Deluxe Edition offers the official soundtrack, a digital artbook, and the first edition of the official comic.
