When midnight strikes, the clock turns back, and the deadly pantomime unfolds exactly as before. You wake up on the floor in a mask marked by a bloody handprint. This shield protects you from the mansion's evil, allowing you to watch, spy, and uncover each guest's secrets to save them from their grim destiny. There are 10 distinct and grisly murder scenarios to witness, ranging from evisceration by spiders and death by burning to perishing on spikes. Every event in the mansion occurs simultaneously on a 12-hour loop, so you must solve mysteries like the 3:45 gunshot or the post-6pm tolling bell. The mansion is full of eccentrics, such as the brilliant mechanic Clockmaster Sixpence, the beautiful Blind artist Trinity, and the strong bouncer Clay, all of whom are targeted by gas-masked staff members. Saving each life rewards you with new abilities: The Clockwork Mask lets you control time, the Moth Mask lets you hear whispers, and the Voodoo Mask reveals the supernatural.
