About This Game
The White Laboratory offers a sandbox experience that mixes tower defense and RTS with physics simulation, set within a facility drifting in the atmosphere of a distant gas planet. The time has arrived for the quadrennial operational inspection of the facility's various sectors. Throughout these missions, combine modular geometric components into diverse structures to handle combat scenarios. Establish ground defenses, deploy propeller air probes, and manage scrap resources, leveraging physics to clear out unwanted debris. Nearly 99% of the game is physically simulated, influencing movement and behavior; you must account for ricocheting bullets, physical obstructions, and structural balance when strategizing. Robotic components serve multiple purposes, enabling rapid, real-time construction without traditional upgrades—simply modify or expand existing structures to adapt to new threats. The mechanics are open and reusable. Play through Experiment mode (campaign) to explore component combinations and expansion strategies, test designs in Sandbox mode with abundant materials, or hold the line in Survival mode. The aesthetic is clean and metallic, floating high in the atmosphere, providing clear visual feedback on structural designs while supporting colorblind players.
