About This Game

Optimized for PC, this edition offers uncapped frame rates including 144Hz support, 21:9 panoramic resolutions, and custom mouse and keyboard controls designed without artificial constraints. X-Morph: Defense merges a twin-stick shooter with tower defense mechanics. As the X-Morph species, you invade Earth to harvest resources and terraform the surface. You can strategize in build mode by placing various towers to create mazes, or directly engage enemies. The environment is fully destructible, allowing you to demolish bridges and buildings to alter the battlefield or simply for cinematic effect. Your mission is to protect harvesters from human waves. Before each wave, a setup phase lets you scout enemy paths and plan defenses without time pressure. Towers can be placed anywhere and connected by laser fences to control enemy movement. Different towers serve different roles, such as flame towers for fast ground units, artillery for slow groups, and anti-air lasers for bombers. You can also pilot a fighter with four morphable forms: the universal Plasma Fighter, the area-clearing Dark Matter Bomber, the anti-air Shredder, and the single-target Laser Destroyer. The game features physics-based destruction where collapsing structures changes tactical layouts. Massive boss battles against building-sized human war machines await, each offering unique challenges. Additionally, a split-screen co-op mode allows two players to tackle missions designed for teamwork, facing larger waves from new directions.
