About This Game
The celebrated red-haired explorer Adol Christin finds himself in the unknown territory of Celceta, unable to recall anything except his identity. Without his memories, Adol investigates the town he stumbled into, seeking any hints about who he is. Accompanied by a thief who asserts he has been with Adol recently, the adventurer saves trapped miners from a cave-in, earning the favor of the local Romun Army general. Intrigued by their abilities, the duo is commissioned to survey the Great Forest of Celceta and map its immense area—a mission many have undertaken but none survived.
Determined to solve the puzzle of his history and the reason for his amnesia, Adol departs with his new yet familiar companion, Duren, to map the untamed wilds that stole his memories. He encounters various people who appear to have met him before, forcing him to decide who can be trusted.
Developer Nihon Falcom originally revisited the setting and characters of the Japanese favorite Ys IV in 2012 with Ys: Memories of Celceta on PlayStation Vita, releasing in North America the next year. Now, this reimagination transitions from handheld to PC, featuring numerous updates and enhancements to maximize the new platform.
