About This Game
Living in the quiet village of Puck on the floating continent of Arges, step-siblings Pokkle and Pipiro lead uneventful lives. Pokkle enjoys making puns and wearing a tail, while Pipiro loves fashion and speaks without a filter. Their routine breaks when a masked thief steals six sacred idols. Enticed by a reward from the "Archduke of Arges," the duo sets out—Pokkle for glory, Pipiro for profit. Their journey across the land involves battling eccentric foes as a conspiracy to revive an ancient Demon Lord unfolds. Can these socially awkward teenagers actually save the world? Originally "Zwei!!" in Japan, this game is the precursor to "Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection" and comes from the creators of "Ys" and "The Legend of Heroes". It offers a standalone "low fantasy" story with 2D action gameplay, a food-based leveling system, and a humorous tone. This definitive English release includes new features. Key highlights include a vibrant 2D world with SD anime characters, real-time combat using melee and magic with a pet companion, and a story filled with humor. The unique food-based experience system allows players to decide when to level up. The game also includes various minigames, achievements, a swapable soundtrack, and modern controls, making it the ultimate version of this Falcom classic.
